Cameron Jordan News
New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle), who said his ankle injury bothered him all year in 2023, also said he's not considering retirement this offseason. "I love the Saints too much to retire," Jordan said. The 34-year-old pass-rushing veteran was in his 13th season with the team this year and wasn't very productive while playing through injury, ultimately finishing with 43 tackles (20 solo), only two sacks, three tackles for loss, six QB hits and one fumble recovery in 17 starts. The eight-time Pro Bowler had the fewest amount of sacks since his rookie season in 2011 but appears to be coming back for his 14th season in 2024. Jordan has two years left on his current deal with New Orleans and will be hoping to be more productive rushing the passer if he can stay healthy this fall.
New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle) was a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, but he's officially active and will play in Week 13. Jordan wasn't on the practice field all week, but the Saints apparently felt the 34-year-old was moving around well enough during pre-game warmups to clear him to play this week. His presence on the defensive line is great news for the Saints' defensive front while going up against a good offensive line that has really underperformed in recent weeks. The eight-time Pro Bowler has had a down season to this point with only two sacks and 34 tackles (15 solo) in 11 games played.
New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle) will be a game-time decision versus the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Despite missing all three practices this past week, he is listed as questionable and "has a shot" to play, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Jordan hasn't missed a game all season, registering 34 tackles, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. His presence would be huge for the Saints' defense as they look to slow down the Lions' strong offense.
