Ha Ha Clinton-Dix News
Free-agent defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is signing with the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad on Monday, according to his agent. Clinton-Dix landed back on the free-agent market when he was cut by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this month. The 28-year-old former first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2014 did not play at all in 2020 after he wasn't able to make the Dallas Cowboys final roster. In his last full season in 2019, the one-time Pro Bowler (2016) had 78 tackles (62 solo), two interceptions (one for a touchdown) and two fumble recoveries in 16 starts for the Chicago Bears. Clinton-Dix will provide valuable secondary depth for the Raiders to begin the 2021 season.
Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is returning to the open market after not agreeing to join the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. Clinton-Dix has served primarily as a starter throughout his six-year NFL career, most of which has come as a member of the Packers. The move to become a free agent seems shrewd, as he started all 16 games for the Bears as recently as 2019, logging 78 tackles to go along with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. With an increased game schedule across the league this season, it appears likely that more players will be needed than ever, and Clinton-Dix boasts an impressive resume for any team in search of secondary help once the '21 year gets underway.
Former first-round safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix signed an undisclosed deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday, according to his agents. Clinton-Dix never saw action in a regular season game with the Dallas Cowboys last year, and he last played in 16 games with the Chicago Bears in 2019. In those 16 contests, the one-time Pro Bowler had 78 tackles (62 solo), two interceptions (one for a touchdown) and five passes defensed. The 28-year-old defensive back will give San Francisco some valuable veteran depth with Tarvarius Moore (Achilles) done for the season and Jaquiski Tartt (toe) and Tony Jefferson (hamstring) currently dealing with injuries in training camp.
