Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two runs batted in as the Astros eliminated the Rays 6-1 in Game 5. Altuve delivered the first fatal blow, getting Houston on the board with a RBI single in the first inning. He later capped off his excellent ALDS with his third home run of the series in the eighth inning. Altuve finishes the series slashing .350/.381/.900 as he continues to be dynamite in the postseason at the plate.
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will hit third in Game 4 of the ALDS against the Rays. Altuve has been fantastic all series, going 4-for-13 (.308) with two doubles, two home runs, two runs scored and three runs batted in through the first three games. Altuve has a history of bringing his power game to the playoffs and, once again, is coming through big for the Astros. His production has him moved down into the middle of the order and should be one of the top fantasy plays in this Game 4 matchup.
Altuve homered in the first inning and looked to be setting the pace for what could have been a sweep. That was quickly taken back when Kevin Kiermaier drove a two-run homer over the centerfield fence just an inning later. This was the second homer for Altuve in this series, and he'll look to triple-down against Diego Castillo in game 4 tomorrow night.
