The Chicago White Sox will send Hector Santiago to the mound to start in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers. Santiago rejoined the White Sox in June after starting out the year with the Mets, where he posted a 6.75 ERA and 6.8 K/9 over eight innings out of the bullpen. Santiago hasn't been as effective in recent years as he used to be, but he could be a sneaky streaming option against the Tigers on Tuesday as Detroit is hitting .227 and averaging 10 strikeouts over their last 15 games.
The Chicago White Sox have announced that starting pitcher Hector Santiago will be called up from Triple-A Charlotte to make a start on Tuesday versus the Tigers. The veteran lefty was signed to a minor league deal in June and has struggled with a 5.48 ERA across seven starts. Its likely that Santiago wont stay with the big league club after Tuesdays start and he can be ignored in all formats.
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Hector Santiago picked up a quality start Monday night versus the Baltimore Orioles. Santiago allowed five hits and three runs while walking two batters and striking out seven. It was Santiago's fourth start of the season and 16th appearance this year. Santiago is expected to remain in the rotation for now and doesn't hold much fantasy appeal. Santiago will face off versus the Tigers on Saturday.
