Tyler Glasnow News
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow turned in an amazing start in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Twins. Glasnow pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks with 14 strikeouts. The 30-year-old has been outstanding through his first four starts with his new team, going 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA, 29 strikeouts, and seven walks in 24 IP. Glasnow has been a high-end fantasy performer when healthy and is benefitting fantasy managers by now having the Dodgers' offense to back him. His next matchup will likely be a favorable one against the Nationals.
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow struck out seven batters in six innings on his way to earning the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Giants. The righty also allowed three earned runs on four hits, including one home run, and walked two in the contest. The 30-year-old is now 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA (4.31 FIP), 0.88 WHIP, and 15:7 K:BB over three starts (17 IP) to begin the year. The former fifth-round draft pick has now posted two straight quality starts and lines up with Minnesota next week for his next start. The Twins struck out the most in 2023, although they're middle of the pack so far in 2024 (8.8 K/game).
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow will take the ball during the team's home opener versus the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. The right-hander made his Dodgers' debut versus the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Glasnow allowed two runs, two hits, and walked four batters in a no-decision. It appears the plan is for Glasnow to start on Thursday, Bobby Miller on Friday, Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Saturday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.

Tyler Glasnow's 10-7 record, 3.53 ERA, and 2.75 xFIP would be the highlight of nearly any team's offseason, but he's an afterthought after the Dodgers acquired Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Glasnow dominated opposing hitters with a 33.4 K% and 7.6 BB% last season, and he has the arsenal to keep it up. His fastball offered a 10.8 SwStr% and 62 Zone%, and Glasnow supplements it with two put-away pitches: a slider (19.7 SwStr%, 51.5 Zone%, 32.3% chase) and a curve (22.4 SwStr%, 26.4 Zone%, 35.9% chase). In fantasy, Glasnow's problem has always been quantity. He didn't debut until late May following elbow surgery to repair a torn UCL in August 2021 and still set a personal best with 120 IP. The Dodgers haven't excelled with pitcher health and seem likely to want to save some bullets for the postseason, so Glasnow is unlikely to approach 150 IP in 2024. Considering Glasnow's ADP of 44.89, you're likely better off going with more durable arms such as George Kirby (41.63) or Pablo Lopez (45.72) instead.
