Chicago White Sox manager Rick Renteria said he's leaning towards shortstop Tim Anderson and second baseman/third baseman Yoan Moncada hitting in the first two spots in the lineup. Anderson hit a career-high .335 while slamming 18 home runs, driving in 56 and stealing 17 bases in 123 games. Moncada also had an excellent season, slashing .315/.367/.548 with 25 home runs, 79 RBI and 10 swipes in 511 at-bats. Neither player had much time in the leadoff spot in 2019, but both excelled in the No. 2 hole. With an improved White Sox lineup from top to bottom, both Anderson and Moncada are intriguing infield options for fantasy owners. Anderson must learn to take more walks, though, if he hopes to hit over .300 again. Moncada ranks as RotoBaller's No. 8 fantasy third baseman behind Manny Machado.
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will rest on Sunday. Anderson has been on fire over the past 30 days and owns a .364 batting average with four home runs and 13 RBI over that span. Anderson should return to the lineup on Tuesday versus the Royals. Danny Mendick will play shortstop and bat second on Sunday. Mendick is 3-for-9 since being called up and is a dart throw in DFS.
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is not in the starting lineup on Thursday. With Anderson taking the day off, Ryan Goins gets the start at the 6 and will hit second against Twins starter Jose Berrios. Goins is hitting .274/.356/.393 but has just two home runs and 10 RBI in his 117 at-bats in 2019. He's sitting in a nice lineup spot for daily production, but Goins remains a low-upside DFS option for the White Sox.
