San Francisco Giants outfielder Alex Dickerson returned Wednesday from the IL after recovering from a right oblique strain, going 0-for-1 with an RBI in a pinch-hit at-bat. He is expected to start Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, per MLB.com's Maria Guardado. Dickerson has been a huge asset to the Giants this season, posting a .343/.398/.657 slash line with six home runs and 26 RBI in 118 plate appearances. He will be welcomed back by both Giants' fans as well as fantasy owners, who should put him back in their starting lineups.
San Francisco Giants outfielder Alex Dickerson (oblique) is beginning a rehab assignment tonight for Triple-A Sacramento. Dickerson was on fire before an oblique injury landed him on the injured list, he was batting .415 with a 1.211 OPS in 14 games since the All-Star break. On the season Dickerson has a .421 on-base percentage thanks in part to good plate discipline metrics and was making hard contact at a 44.4 percent rate when he puts the ball in play. He's worth an add in most leagues as the rehab assignment is expected to be a short one.
San Francisco Giants outfielder Alex Dickerson (oblique) won't be ready to come off the injured list when first eligible on Sunday according to Alex Pavlovic. The initial hope when Dickerson went on the IL was he would miss the minimum 10 days, but he'll require a little more time. Dickerson had been on a tear before the injury, he is batting .415 in since the All-Star break with a 1.211 OPS. He should be owned in deeper leagues and NL-Only when he is deemed healthy enough to return to the Giants.
