Aaron Nola News
Philadelphia Phillies starter Aaron Nola allowed two runs on four hits across eight innings of work during Sunday's 8-2 win over the Chicago White Sox. He struck out seven batters while walking one. It was an impressive outing for the 30-year-old as the only damage against him came off of an Eloy Jimenez blast in the first inning. Nola has now allowed two runs or fewer in four straight appearances after a shaky outing to kick off the campaign. He brings a 3-1 record, 3.16 ERA and 26/10 K/BB into his next projected start against the San Diego Padres. Nola is a must-start fantasy option while he is rolling like this.
Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola carved up the Colorado Rockies in his longest outing of the season on Monday. Nola went 7 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, one run, one walk and struck out nine. Unfortunately for Nola, his offense could not do enough while he was on the mound and he earned a no-decision. The veteran has really bounced back in a nice way after allowing seven runs (six earned) in his first start of the season as he has given up just three runs combined over his last three starts. Nola has consistently been one of the best starters over the course of his career and remains a must-start in all matchups. Next up for Nola is a dream date with the Chicago White Sox on Saturday.
Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola turned in a great start but came away with a no-decision in Monday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Rockies. Nola pitched 7 1/3 innings, allowing one run on four hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with nine strikeouts. The 30-year-old has now turned in three consecutive solid starts after a rough first start, bringing his record to 2-1 with a 3.47 ERA, a 7.33 K/9 rate, and a 3.47 BB/9 rate. He should have an excellent chance to extend his streak in his next scheduled start against the White Sox.

So far, the biggest move the Phillies made this offseason was re-signing Aaron Nola to a seven-year, $72 million deal in November. Unsurprisingly, Nola, who's placed within the top 10 in NL Cy Young voting three times during his nine-year career, elected to remain with the team that drafted him back in 2015. Although the 30-year-old right-hander has struggled with the long ball in recent years surrendering 77 of them in 96 starts since 2021 he's still kept walks to a minimum and fanned 660 batters in 579.1 frames of work. He's one of the most durable starters in the sport and having him and Zack Wheeler atop their starting rotation has worked out well for Philadelphia. ATC projects Nola to pitch to a 3.50 ERA and 1.07 WHIP across 194 innings while striking out 217 batters. His ADP of 55.0 is a safe bet, although he may get selected higher.
