Chicago White Sox rookie and heralded prospect Dylan Cease has had a rough start to his career, going 3-6 with a 5.46 ERA since being called up on July 3. But Cease said he had his best stuff of the year on Friday night when he went six innings and struck out nine as the White Sox beat the Rangers 8-3. Cease started off bad, giving up a three-run home run to Willie Calhoun in the first inning, before settling down to allow only two more hits. He'll try to keep the momentum going in his next start, lining up for a start at home against the Twins on Thursday.
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease struggled in his second career start versus the Kansas City Royals. Over six frames, Cease allowed eight hits, six runs (four earned), one walk and struck out seven. Owners should remain patient with Cease due to his strong upside and strikeout ability. Cease will look to improve in his third career start versus the Rays on Sunday.
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease went five inning in his big league debut on Wednesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader versus the Detroit Tigers. Cease allowed two runs in the top of the first inning and then settled down. Cease finished with a line of four hits, three runs, four walks and six strikeouts. Cease is one of the best pitching prospects in the game and will be worth owning in all formats, even if he has some bumps in the road along the way.
