Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Carson Fulmer will serve as the team's opener on Tuesday night against the Boston Red Sox. It will be a collective bullpen day for the White Sox against LHP David Price. The former standout at Vanderbilt has struggled, posting a 1-1 record, 6.35 ERA and 1.94 WHIP across 11 1/3 innings with 11 walks and 13 strikeouts allowed across nine relief appearances. It will be his first 'start' of the season, although don't expect it to last long.
After another miserable outing on Friday, Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carson Fulmer has been demoted to Triple-A Charlotte. Fulmer has really struggled this season with an 8.07 ERA. The former first-round pick got plenty of opportunities to keep his spot but failed. Fulmer will need to improve his mechanics and it's likely that he will get another shot in the big leagues for the rebuilding White Sox at some point this year. Hector Santiago could replace Fulmer in the rotation and can be avoided in all formats.
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carson Fulmer continued his struggles with another rough outing on Friday. In two innings, Fulmer allowed three hits, eight runs, five walks and struck out two batters. Fulmer is now 2-4 with an 8.07 ERA. The White Sox are in a rebuilding year, but at some point, one would think that they should give someone else a chance in the rotation. Top pitching prospect Michael Kopech continues to perform well, but the White Sox are in no hurry to start his service time and it is more likely that he will be called up after July.
