Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez continued his improved second-half, hitting a grand slam off of Jordan Zimmerman in the fourth inning of a 10-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The rookie has 29 home runs on the year and now has left the park five times in his last 10 games. After a slow start to his career, Jimenez is much improved in the past two months, with his .371 wOBA representing an almost a 60-point increase since August 1.
Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez picked up one hit in four plate appearances on Tuesday. His one hit was a big one and it was his first career grand slam. Jimenez has had two separate stints in the injured list, but still has 25 home runs and 62 RBI to go along with a .249 batting average.
Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (hip) is back in the starting lineup on Saturday, serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth against Rangers left-hander Kolby Allard. Jimenez missed the last two games with a minor hip injury. The talented 22-year-old should be returned to all fantasy lineups immediately. His upside is undeniable and he's hitting .241/.293/.471 with 22 home runs, 47 runs and 52 RBI in his 340 at-bats. There continue to be growing pains, but the league better watch out when he finally puts it all together.
