Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Adam Haseley went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in a loss to the Pirates Tuesday. The injuries in the Philadelphia outfield have led to everyday playing time for the rookie, but he remains on the fringes of fantasy relevancy. Haseley is batting just .246 and that is mostly empty batting average as he has just three homers and a .365 slugging percentage. The big issue for Haseley seems to be plate discipline as he strikes out at a 26.7 percent rate compared to a minuscule 4.4 percent walk rate. The plate discipline should come with experience in the Majors and he has prospect pedigree so he should be owned in dynasty formats, but it's hard to see Haseley making a fantasy impact down the stretch this season.
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Adam Haseley drove in a run Saturday vs the Pirates giving him at least one RBI in four straight games. Haseley has been good since being recalled with two homers and two doubles. He has five RBI in his past four games and has seen his name in the lineup every day since being recalled on July 13. Haseley struggled mightily in his first MLB stint, but he was one of their top prospects and shouldn't be given up on because of rookie struggles. He was slugging .485 at Double-A this season before a promotion to Triple-A where he slugged .471 while getting on base at a .377 rate. He's still a bottom of the order bat, but he could be an interesting pick up in NL-Only or deep five-outfielder leagues.
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Adam Haseley (groin) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A on Monday. Haseley had a short stint with the Phillies before going down with a left groin strain earlier this month. He shouldn't need too many games in the minors, and should be back to playing some outfield in Philly soon.
