CC Sabathia Activated, Starting Sunday

New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia (knee) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday. Sabathia has been sidelined all month due to a lingering knee issue. He's posting a 4.78 ERA across 17 starts with the Yankees this season. He'll draw the start against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday. He's only worth a look in deep leagues and AL-only formats.

Luke Voit Hopes To Return This Month

New York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (hernia) ran the bases and took ground balls on Friday, and he's been pain-free for several days. Voit has been out since July 30 with a sports hernia, but he's hoping to return later this month. The team has cleared him to continue on-field workouts with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, beginning on Monday. The 28-year-old has been huge for the Bombers this year, hitting .278/.392/.493 with 19 home runs, 16 doubles, a triple and 54 RBI in 94 games, so he should remain stashed in all fantasy leagues.

Aaron Judge Gets Day Off

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Judge has been slumping with the bat lately, so the Yankees will give him a day off to rest. He's spent almost two months on the injured list this season, so the Yankees want to be cautious with him. Cameron Maybin will play right field and bat sixth versus righty Zach Plesac. Maybin has slowed down with the bat a bit, but remains a decent DFS option for this one.

Gary Sanchez Won't Play Against Indians

New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Sanchez will get a routine day off here to rest, but he should be back in there on Sunday. Austin Romine will do the catching and bat eighth versus righty Zach Plesac. Romine doesn't have enough upside to warrant owning in DFS contests or fantasy leagues.

DJ LeMahieu Eyeing AL Batting Crown

New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu is trying to become the first player in the modern era to win a batting title in both leagues -- he won the National League crown in 2016. Entering this weekend, he leads the American League and majors overall with a .337 average. LeMahieu is making the most hard contact (22 percent) among players with at least 500 total swings in 2019. Not only is he squaring balls up frequently, but he is also swinging more and being more aggressive. LeMahieu is hitting .330 against fastballs, .331 against breaking pitches and .383 against offspeed pitches. He's hitting line drives 30.5 percent of the time as well. He's having an MVP-caliber season and is a big reason the Yanks have held their own despite injuries to sluggers Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge. Fantasy owners that snagged LeMahieu on the cheap this year have been ecstatic.
