Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul (heel) may play on Wednesday against Boston. The veteran has missed 14 games because of heel soreness. While there's still a chance Paul won't be ready to return, the questionable designation at least shows he's moving in the right direction. Cameron Payne should remain in the starting lineup if Paul remains out, with the 28-year-old averaging 15.1 points and 7.3 assists as a starter this season, making him a lock for managers in all fantasy formats.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Danny Green (knee) has received one of his first questionable tags since tearing his ACL and LCL last season as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers in the playoffs. He said that he would return by the All-Star break this year and he seems to be on schedule with that prediction. Fantasy managers will want to wait before adding him on any rosters since he wasn't too valuable last season before getting hurt. His source of fantasy value comes from just threes and steals, so after he gets off any minute restrictions he might have little value in very deep leagues.
Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green (calf) missed each practice since the team's win on Saturday and has now officially been ruled out ahead of their Wednesday night contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder. This doesn't come as a big surprise since Green was unable to practice with the team on Monday and Tuesday. The 20-year-old will miss at least two games due to this calf injury now, but it seems as though it shouldn't hold him out for too much longer. In the meantime, Tari Eason, Daishen Nix, and Eric Gordon will continue to get more time with Kevin Porter Jr. (foot) sidelined as well.
Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun missed the team's last contest due to a non-COVID illness but was able to practice over the last couple of days. He's now off of the injury report and should be good to go in Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. There shouldn't be any significant value decreases to others on the team because Jalen Green (calf) and Kevin Porter Jr. (foot) remain sidelined so there are plenty of minutes to be distributed.
Los Angeles Clippers guard John Wall (abdomen) has been out for the last 10 consecutive games and was supposed to be re-evaluated after two weeks when he was first sidelined back on January 15. At this point in time, he still doesn't have a firm timetable for his return but head coach Ty Lue said that he is getting closer. While Wall has played well in his role, the Clippers aren't in a rush to get him back on the court as they've been playing well lately with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on the court more often. While Wall is out, however, Reggie Jackson and Terance Mann will continue to be solid streaming options.
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (groin) is questionable to play against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. Gobert has been listed as questionable for the past several games yet has played big minutes in all of them. Gobert will likely continue to be listed as questionable in the near future in case his injury does flare up, but there appears to be no indication of that happening. If Gobert is somehow not out there Wednesday, Naz Reid would be a streaming target for fantasy.
Boston Celtics center Robert Williams III (ankle) is questionable to play against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Williams sat out Boston's last game with an ankle injury, but may return to the lineup against the Nets if he's recovered enough. With Williams sitting on Saturday, Grant Williams got the spot start and registered nine points and nine rebounds in 39 minutes.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane (knee) is listed as questionable to play Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Bane has already missed two games with knee soreness and the Grizzlies are entering a back-to-back set starting Wednesday, putting Bane in danger of missing at least another game. Ziaire Williams has been starting with Bane out, but has not offered much in terms of fantasy value. If Bane sits, Tyus Jones would likely be the main benefactor off the bench while the normal starters get a boost in usage.
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (knee) is available to play Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans. Murray was listed as questionable for injury management with his knee, but he will play, as expected. The Nuggets are not in the middle of a back-to-back set, but Murray did play 39 minutes on Saturday and Denver is likely being cautious with his workload. Whenever Murray does see a rest day, Bruce Brown and Bones Hyland will likely see increased minutes.
Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Anthony Davis (foot) is expected to move back into the starting lineup on Tuesday against the New York Knicks. Davis missed last game due to injury management, but is expected to play after being listed as probable. Head coach Darvin Ham also noted Davis would have his minutes restriction lifted enough so he can return to the starting lineup. Thomas Bryant should move back to the bench after getting the spot start on Monday.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) is expected play Tuesday against the New York Knicks, but will go through pregame warmups before an official decision is made. James missed last game as the Lakers were entering a back-to-back set and has been dealing with lingering ankle soreness. In his quest for the all-time scoring record, all signs point to James being available on Tuesday. Troy Brown Jr. should move back to the bench with James back in the lineup.
