Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin (rest) will not play in Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It sounds like the Pistons want to limit Griffin's workload, so they will give him the night off. Thon Maker should see more minutes coming his way and he should be someone worth considering in DFS contests with increased playing time.
Detroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin and center Andre Drummond both struggled Wednesday night against Miami, combining for only 18 points. Griffin had 13 points and a game-worst minus-32 rating, while Drummond managed just five points and nine rebounds. He missed a chance to join Griffin, Kevin Love, Dwight Howard, and Russell Westbrook as players in the last decade with 20 straight double-doubles. Griffin and Drummond will be eager to bounce back on Friday against the Lakers. However, neither particularly enjoyed the team's first matchup of the season, as Griffin finished with 16 points and Drummond had only six, shooting 2-for-12 from the field.
Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin led the Pistons to a second straight victory over the Chicago Bulls with a game-high 28 point performance. The 2nd-year Piston shot lights out on the night, hitting 10-for-14 from the field, 3-for-6 from deep, and 5-6 from the line, all of which exceed his respective season averages. The 29-year-old forward rounded out his night with six boards, five assists, and one steal to compliment his 28 points. Griffin and the Pistons take the court again on Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets, a series that he is averaging 25.5 points and 8.5 boards in this season.
