Danuel House Jr. News
Philadelphia 76ers forward Danuel House Jr. will shift into the starting five ahead of Tuesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. The Sixers are shorthanded with Marcus Morris Sr. (foot) and Nicolas Batum (hamstring) both sidelined. Luckily, Joel Embiid is back, but the Sixers are still without Tyrese Maxey (ankle) on Tuesday. House will be asked to move into the starting five with the Sixers thin on depth right now. He hasn't done much on the stat sheet even when he gets minutes in the high 20s. That being said, fantasy managers can probably find a better streaming option for Tuesday's slate.
Philadelphia 76ers small forward Danuel House Jr. (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Monday's big game against the Lakers. House Jr. was also out for the weekend's action against Oklahoma City and would miss a second consecutive game if he can't shake off a left quadriceps contusion. With that said, Danuel House Jr.'s absence doesn't have a big impact on the Sixers. He's been a regular in the rotation but has played only 12.7 minutes a night in 2023-24.
Philadelphia 76ers forwards Furkan Korkmaz (hamstring) and Danuel House Jr. (knee) both missed practice on Friday after suffering some minor injuries. House has at least seen some action on the court throughout the preseason so far while Korkmaz has yet to play in a game. Last season, Korkmaz requested a trade since he wasn't getting any playing time, but there hasn't been any word about that request since then. Both of these guys aren't on the fantasy radar in any format unless their situations change drastically.
Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Danuel House Jr. has picked up his $4.3m player option for the 2023-2024 season. The 29-year-old didn't have a lot of success in 2022-23, averaging only 4.8 points per game in 14.4 minutes, but he will get a fresh start under new head coach Nick Nurse and could play a larger role next season, depending on how the roster shapes up in the summer. Philadelphia's roster could look quite different in 2023-24, with James Harden, Jalen McDaniels, Georges Niang and Paul Reed becoming free agents.
