Anthony Davis Should Be Fine for Regular Season

Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Anthony Davis (thumb) was injured during the first quarter of Saturday's preseason loss. The team is calling the injury a Grade 1 sprain, but Davis will have an MRI done on Sunday. The Lakers next preseason game is on Monday, but it's safe to assume he's done for the preseason. Davis should be fine for opening night, so fantasy owners shouldn't have to worry.

Raptors Re-Sign Chris Boucher

The Toronto Raptors have re-signed center Chris Boucher to a two-year, $13.5 million deal. With Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol gone, Boucher will be expected to step into a larger role this season. In 62 games last year, Boucher averaged just 13.2 minutes per game, so take his 6.6 points and 4.5 boards per contest with a grain of salt, as an additional 10-plus minutes per game likely makes Boucher a fantasy relevant player.

Ed Davis Traded To Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded for big man Ed Davis, sending Omari Spellman and Jacob Evans to the Knicks. Davis reunites with former Nets teammate D'Angelo Russell. Davis is a hard-nosed player who'll provide useful defense and can set screens for the offense, but his projected role won't be on that's conducive to fantasy basketball leagues, unless you need rebounding help in an extremely deep league.

Jayson Tatum Signing Max Extension

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is signing a five-year, $195 million extension with the Boston Celtics, which includes a player option in the final year. The Celtics have locked their best player up long term. Last season, Tatum averaged 23.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 40.3 percent from three. He's a first-round pick in fantasy leagues this season and possesses elite upside.

Juan Hernangomez Staying In Minnesota

Forward Juan Hernangomez has agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal to stay with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Traded to Minny in February, Hernangomez played 14 games for the team, starting all of them and averaging 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, plus shooting 42 percent from deep on his way to 2.4 made threes per game. Likely to start again, he may cede some usage to rookie Anthony Edwards, but Hernangomez should still get enough work to be a solid late-round fantasy addition.

Bogdan Bogdanovic Signs Offer Sheet With Hawks

Restricted free agent forward Bogdan Bogdanovic has signed an offer sheet with the Atlanta Hawks that would pay him $72 million over four seasons. Considering the Kings had already been involved in rumors of doing a sign-and-trade with Bogdanovic, it would be a surprise to see them match the deal. If he does end up in Atlanta, he joins a revamped front court with Danilo Gallinari, where Bogdanovic would see his fantasy value take a slight hit as the third or fourth option for Atlanta.

Torrey Craig Signing In Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Bucks and forward Torrey Craig have agreed to a contract, though the terms have not been disclosed. The fourth-year forward averaged 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Craig is a nice depth piece for Milwaukee, but he doesn't project to be a factor in most fantasy leagues this upcoming season. His strong defensive does help make the Bucks stronger as they look to reach the NBA Finals.

Donovan Mitchell Signing Max Extension

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is signing a five-year max extension to stay with the Jazz. Mitchell is the most important piece on this Jazz team now and moving forward, so locking him up makes sense. There are still plenty of questions surrounding Mitchell and this Jazz squad, but fantasy managers don't need to worry about those questions too much, as they can just focus on drafting Mitchell as an early-round option.

Serge Ibaka Signing With Clippers

Free agent big Serge Ibaka has agreed to a two-year, $19 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. Ostensibly the replacement for last year's Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell, who signed with the Lakers this week, Ibaka provides a solid upgrade at the four and five for the Clips. Likely to earn a starting role at one of the front court spots, Ibaka averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game last season for the Raptors, as well as 1.3 threes per game. He shot 51.2 percent from the floor. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both taking up offensive possessions, last year's numbers are likely the ceiling for Ibaka this season, but that's a pretty nice ceiling.

Jeff Teague Signing With Celtics

Free agent point guard Jeff Teague is signing a one-year deal with the Boston Celtics. Considering Teague almost exclusively played the one until his 25 games beside Trae Young in Atlanta last season, we can safely assume he's being brought in as a backup to Kemba Walker and not much else. That's not a role that looks set to produce much in the way of fantasy production.

Tristan Thompson Signing With Celtics

Free agent big man Tristan Thompson has agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal with the Boston Celtics, where he'll likely slide into the bench role that Enes Kanter held last season. Thompson is coming off of his worst shooting season since 2013-14, but he still connected on 51.2 percent of his shots and occasionally explored adding some range to his game, attempting a career-high 23 three-pointers. He's averaged a double-double two years in a row, but might see a drop in production with fewer minutes in Boston. Still, he's a solid late addition to fantasy rosters.
