Matthew Dellavedova News
Sacramento Kings guard Matthew Dellavedova has signed a two-year deal to return to the Melbourne United. Dellavedova played with Melbourne before returning to the league this past season. Dellavedova only got limited minutes with the Kings, but teammates and head coach Mike Brown noted him as a key locker room figure. Dellavedova underwent finger surgery towards the end of the season and it is possible he's played his last game in the NBA. Dellavedova will be 35 at the end of his contract with Melbourne.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova and forward Isaiah Hartenstein are in the starting lineups Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Cavs are without their starting backcourt of Collin Sexton (groin) and Darius Garland (ankle_ so they decided to go bigger with Dellavedova manning the point and Hartenstein sliding in beside Kevin Love. "Delly" should be a decent source of assists and threes in the start, while Hartenstein is someone to look at in DFS given his ability to contribute across the board.
Cleveland Cavaliers point/shooting guard Matthew Dellavedova (concussion) recently made it clear that he's not retiring despite a recent concussion that has kept him in the league's protocol thus far in 2020-21. The Cavs are hopeful to get Dellavedova back this year as a reserve guard, and his placement on the Australian National Team for the Olympics is surely a step in the right direction. Across 57 games last season, Dellavedova averaged just 3.1 points and 3.2 assists per contest, so despite his veteran savvy, he can remain on the waiver wire in all season-long formats even if he is eventually cleared to return to action this year.
Cleveland Cavaliers point/shooting guard Matthew Dellavedova is not listed on the teams injury report ahead of Tuesdays contest versus the Boston Celtics. Dellavedova, who missed his clubs past two games due to personal reasons, figures to see his usual allotment of roughly 15-20 minutes off the bench. He likely holds little fantasy value despite being the first guard used as a reserve for the showdown as the team continues to deploy the young duo of Collin Sexton and Darius Garland.
