Detroit Pistons power forward/center Blake Griffin was a game-time call and he decided to suit up, despite obvious pain in the 127-104 loss to the Bucks with the series on the line. Griffin was far from 100 percent as he limped his way to 22 points and added six dimes with five boards in the effort. Griffin went for it and deserves some credit with the series pretty much over before this game even started. Griffin played a healthy 77 games this season and it was a shame he had the knee issues during the playoffs. Griffin should be up for some early-round value next season after this excellent bounce-back season.
Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin (knee) is a game-time decision for Monday's Game 4 versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The good news is, Griffin is listed as probable for this game, so that's a great sign. It sounds like he'll actually suit up for this game, but there won't be official confirmation until after pre-game warmups. Thon Maker would lose minutes and value with Griffin back in the rotation. Griffin shouldn't be limited since there has been no word of that yet.
Detroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin was able to suit up for Saturdays Game 3 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks and looked as if he had never been away, dropping a team-best 27 points on 10-for-24 shooting, adding seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. His return pushed Thon Maker to the bench and essentially eliminated his DFS ownership potential, with Griffin still fairly priced in the wake of his injury. Detroit will need a whole lot more of what Griffin brought to the floor if theyre to pull off the miraculous series comeback, which could increase his value. His status is worth monitoring prior to tip-off for Game 4 on Monday.
