Cleveland Cavaliers point/shooting guard Brandon Knight saw his minutes total jump back up during Thursdays loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Knights 14-point effort came on a 6-for-9 shooting performance, which wont make owners rush to the wire to claim him, but what serves as a positive sign moving forward are the season-high 32 minutes that he logged. The Cavs are likely to continue running Knight out for as long as his knee can handle over the final six games, which could make him an appealing cheap DFS play or waiver steal for those season-long leagues that go right to the end.
Point/shooting guard Brandon Knight and power forward/center Marquese Chriss are again on the move, reportedly heading to the Cleveland Cavaliers as a part of a three-team deal Wednesday. Knight has appeared in just 12 games this season off the bench for Houston, last appearing Jan. 11 as he makes his way back from a knee injury that cost him the entire 2017-18 year. Chriss was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and could benefit from the reset on his career. He averaged just 6.5 minutes per game across 16 contests for Houston, but is still 21 years old and could find his way into the rotation for Cleveland sooner rather than later. The Cavs next play the Washington Wizards come Friday.
Houston Rockets guard Brandon Knight (knee) won't play in Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be the fourth straight game that Knight has missed due to left knee soreness. Eric Gordon (knee) is back in the lineup, so Knight lost most of his playing time anyway. He belongs on the waiver wire in all formats right now.
