T.J. Warren News
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, forward T.J. Warren has agreed to a second 10-day contract with the Timberwolves. The 30-year-old has appeared in four games for Minnesota this season, averaging 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds. While Warren is nowhere close to the player he once was, he might see an uptick in DFS attention in the next few weeks, considering Kyle Anderson (shoulder) has frequented the injury report of late. At the same time, Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) isn't expected back until the postseason, although that's still up in the air.
Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets. He wasn't on the original injury report, but it appears the veteran forward will miss this game due to a non-COVID related illness. His absence won't have a huge impact on the rotation. It should free up additional playing time for starter Josh Okogie. However, Okogie only played 20 minutes during their last game. He probably won't get enough minutes to warrant streaming him on Thursday.
According to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, T.J. Warren is on his way to the Phoenix Suns as part of the blockbuster deal that sent Kevin Durant as well. As part of the Brooklyn Nets, Warren didn't have much value as he only saw around 18 minutes per game and averaged 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per contest. This trade may actually raise his value since there will be some holes to fill with Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson vacating their roles on the team. He especially could be worth a look while Durant is on the mend.
Brooklyn Nets forward T.J. Warren (shin) is available for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The 29-year-old will get back on the court after missing each of the last four games due to a left shin contusion. He should see an increased role off the bench with Ben Simmons (knee) and Seth Curry (groin) both sidelined for this contest. Although, his spike in value both won't last long with Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith coming into the picture soon.
