Quinn Cook News
Free-agent guard Quinn Cook officially signed with the Kings, over a month since it was first announced. The 29-year-old last played in 2020-21, spending time with the Lakers and Cavaliers and averaging 3.3 points between both clubs. The veteran isn't guaranteed to be on Sacramento's roster after training camp. However, even if he is, he likely won't offer much to fantasy managers, especially since his best days are seemingly behind him.
Point guard Quinn Cook has reportedly signed a one-year contract to join the Sacramento Kings for the 2022-23 season, per Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee. The 29-year-old has been well traveled since first joining the league in '16, with the Kings set to be his sixth professional franchise with whom he appears. Cook played part of last season for Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia, before signing on with the G League in February. A two-time NBA champion from his days with the Warriors and Lakers, Cook has averaged 6.4 points across 14.1 minutes per game throughout his career. With De'Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell set to handle the vast majority of point guard duties, Cook is merely a depth piece for the Kings as they attempt to return to the postseason for the first time since 2005-06.
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Quinn Cook produced his best performance of the season in Wednesday's loss to Orlando, scoring a game-high 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting. Troy Daniels and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope both added 17 points, so the team was heavily carried by the bench in this one. Cook has proved that he's a baller when given an opportunity, but he hasn't earned much trust this season in L.A., averaging only 13 minutes a night. He played nearly twice as much on Wednesday, with Rajon Rondo (hand) on the shelf. Rondo isn't expected to feature this week, and the Lakers have one more game on Saturday, so Cook has some fantasy value at the moment.
Golden State Warriors guard Quinn Cook provided an excellent boost off the bench on Tuesday when he scored 19 points in 24 minutes of action in a win over the Pelicans. Cook added three dimes with two rebounds and made two triples on the night. With many of the Dubs usual top guns looking to have the night off on Wednesday, we can see Cook getting a lot of touches and should be in for a big line when they square off against the Grizzlies in his club's season finale.
