The Philadelphia 76ers have re-signed forward Furkan Korkmaz to a two-year deal. Korkmaz appeared in 48 games for the Sixers last year and started in seven of those. He shot just 32.6 percent from three, averaging 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Philadelphia is deeper this year, which makes it hard to see how Korkmaz fits into the team's plans, but with the first year of his contract fully guaranteed, he'll very likely be on the final roster as the 11th or 12th man. Korkmaz should not be drafted in fantasy.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Furkan Korkmaz (knee) has been ruled out indefinitely and his regular season is likely over. Korkmaz suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee, so the Sixers are going to be thin without his depth. Jimmy Butler and Jonathon Simmons will be asked to hold down the small forward position. Both players could see their fantasy values increase without Korkmaz.
Philadelphia 76ers power forward Jonah Bolden will replace Wilson Chandler (illness) and shooting guard/ small forward Furkan Korkmaz will take the place of Jimmy Butler (illness) in the starting lineup against the Suns on Wednesday. It will be Bolden's first career start while Korkmaz has started two previous games, averaging 12 points along with three assists and 2.5 rebounds over 32 minutes. Mike Muscala will still see plenty of playing time off the bench and would be an option as a cheap DFS play as would Korkmaz, who also could be used as a streamer for tonight.
