Philadelphia 76ers forward Furkan Korkmaz will jump into the starting five for Friday's preseason game against the Washington Wizards. Ben Simmons (back) will sit out, so the backups will get some more run in this one. However, Josh Richardson is looking strong and healthy in a Sixers' uniform. He'll be worth drafting in the middle rounds of most drafts, while Korkmaz can be ignored.
The Philadelphia 76ers have re-signed forward Furkan Korkmaz to a two-year deal. Korkmaz appeared in 48 games for the Sixers last year and started in seven of those. He shot just 32.6 percent from three, averaging 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Philadelphia is deeper this year, which makes it hard to see how Korkmaz fits into the team's plans, but with the first year of his contract fully guaranteed, he'll very likely be on the final roster as the 11th or 12th man. Korkmaz should not be drafted in fantasy.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Furkan Korkmaz (knee) has been ruled out indefinitely and his regular season is likely over. Korkmaz suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee, so the Sixers are going to be thin without his depth. Jimmy Butler and Jonathon Simmons will be asked to hold down the small forward position. Both players could see their fantasy values increase without Korkmaz.
