Élie Okobo News
Phoenix Suns point guard Elie Okobo again received the start with Devin Booker (hamstring) out and he provided 11 points in the 22-point loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Okobo added five rebounds while connecting on 5-for-13 shooting and added a steal with a block with a make from three while dishing out just a single assist with two turnovers. Okobo played his best game since posting 19 points back on November 28th and is worth a look as flier pick with Booker most likely to miss more time.
Phoenix Suns point guard Elie Okobo will once again be in the starting lineup against the Trail Blazers on Thursday. Okobo will join Josh Jackson, Mikal Bridges, Trevor Ariza and Deandre Ayton with the first unit. Okobo, who posted a team worst minus-22 rating in the game, finished with six points, three rebounds and one assist against the Kings on Tuesday. In three games as a starter, Okobo is averaging 7.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 35.7 percent from the field. Fellow rookie De'Anthony Melton, who poured in 21 points in his last outing (Tuesday), is expected to see significant time off the bench. Both Okobo and Melton should be on the radar of fantasy owners in competitive fantasy leagues.
Phoenix Suns guard Elie Okobo received the start with Devin Booker (hamstring) sidelined and did not provide much for owners who scooped him up hoping for some solid output on Tuesday. Okobo connected on 3-for-8 shooting to score six points with three boards and a single assist with a steal in 26 minutes. Backup De'Anthony Melton actually went off and scored a career-high 21 points and this could easily affect Okobo's minutes going forward.
Phoenix Suns guard Elie Okobo will join the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Devin Booker (hamstring) is sidelined for the foreseeable future, so Okobo could be in the lineup quite often. There should be plenty of playing time for Okobo going forward, but he hasn't done much with it yet. However, Okobo is still worth rostering in most formats despite his average play.
