With Willie Cauley-Stein likely on the way out, the Sacramento Kings were in need of help at the center position. They got that on the first day of free agency, agreeing to a three-year deal to join Sacramento. Dedmon is an underrated big man who can score inside and outside, shooting 38.2 percent on 3.4 threes per game last season and also averaging 7.5 rebounds per game. Both of those skills will be useful in Sacramento, where Dedmon will form an intriguing front line with second-year power forward Marvin Bagley III. Dedmon should see a slight bump in his numbers with the Kings as he stays on the floor longer, though its possible Harry Giles impresses and eats a little into his minutes. Overall, though, this is a positive move for Dedmon.
Atlanta Hawks forward Taurean Prince has been traded to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for guard Allen Crabbe and multiple draft picks. The Nets save roughly $15 million by trading Crabbe away. That gives them more cap space for pursuing free agents this summer. The Hawks will receive the No. 17 pick in the 2019 draft and a protected first-rounder in 2020. This move isn't going to help Crabbe's fantasy value much. Prince should be better off in a new system, but it depends on who the Nets acquire over the summer.
Atlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins brought the Windex on Wednesday when he cleaned the glass with a career-high 25 rebounds. Collins didn't stop there, as he added 20 points with six dimes and added a block for good measure. Collins recorded 32 double-doubles in his 61 games that he suited up for and is looking like an early- to mid-round pick in next season's drafts across all formats. If you have him in your dynasty league, you are looking good for years to come.
Atlanta Hawks power forward/center Alex Len continued his late-season surge as the big man recorded a double-double and added three blocks in his club's season finale on Wednesday. Len poured in 20 points and 10 rebounds and if you have been in the fantasy game for some time, we have seen the big man come alive at the end of seasons in the past. He is a tough player to draft, but when he steps in for an injured center, he is always worth a look as a streamer or sneaky DFS play.
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young filled up the stat sheet one last time this season, as the rookie poured in 23 points and added 11 assists in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers. Young did not stop there, as he added five rebounds with two steals and drained a single make from three on the night. It was not all great, as the young guard did have six turnovers in this one. Young is looking at some serious early-round value for next season with his potential to rack up points and assists at an elite level.
