NFL DFS Stacks Week 12
There are some good matchups this week as we head into Week 12 of the NFL season. With an eye towards DFS, there are plenty of options to stack in contests this week. Using FantasyData's DFS Stacking Tool as a reference, here are some of the best stacks to consider with DraftKings' prices included:
Expensive Options
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Patrick Mahomes ($8,000), Tyreek Hill ($7,800), and Sammy Watkins ($4,700). Mahomes and Hill are pricey and it might be hard to fit Travis Kelce in a stack with them. Watkins makes some sense as a cheaper option as he is returning from injury for this week. Mahomes, Hill, and Watkins is the top projected QB-WR-WR stack on FantasyData's DFS Stacking Tool at 56.5 projected points. The Tampa Bay defense is good overall, but they have allowed some big plays, and the quality of the defense hasn't really mattered all that much to the Chiefs this season. Mahomes has one game with less than 20 DraftKings points all season and his favorite target is Hill. Hill has three straight games of 25 or more points and has six receiving touchdowns in his last four games. Aside from having a late-week setback, Watkins looks on track to play this week. Watkins has played in five games this season and in three of those, he has seven or more targets. If he gets that many targets from Mahomes, he should produce relative to his price tag. This game has a high projected total and could turn into a shootout. You will want to get a piece of the Chiefs' offense this week.
Bring back option: Chris Godwin ($6,000). Godwin hasn't had the smoothest of seasons as he has battled injuries along the way. But he has two receiving TDs in his last four games and has 9, 6, 6, and 10 targets in those games. Tom Brady is starting to look Godwin's way more and more and as the talented receiver works back to full health, he could have a big role in this game.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills: Justin Herbert ($7,200), Keenan Allen ($8,000), and Hunter Henry ($4,800). This trio makes up the fourth-highest projected QB-WR-TE stack on FantasyData's DFS Stacking Tool at 51.8 points. This is an intriguing matchup for the Chargers in what should be a high-scoring game. Herbert has been brilliant since taking over the starting job for L.A. He is coming off a 30.74-point performance in last week's win over the Jets and has reached the 300-yard bonus in three of the last five games. With Allen as his primary weapon, Herbert is cruising along and this week should be no different. Allen is coming off a game with a ridiculous 19 targets and has been targeted 11 or more times in four of the last five games. Herbert is locked onto Allen, who is an elite route-runner who always seems to be open. We should see more of the same this week. Henry, meanwhile, has seen six or more targets from Herbert in each of the last three games which isn't bad for a tight end. He also has receiving touchdowns in each of the past two games. Look for Henry to find the end zone again in this game, making this a high-upside stack.
Bring back option: Stefon Diggs ($7,600). Diggs is red hot and has seen nine or more targets in each of his last four games. He is coming off of games in which he scored 23.8 and 25.3 points against Seattle and Arizona respectively. He gets another good matchup this week against the Chargers defense and projects as one of the better wide receiver options. Pair him in a stack with Allen and you have two of the top receivers in your lineup.
Cheaper options
New York Giants vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Daniel Jones ($5,500), Wayne Gallman ($5,000), and Sterling Shepard ($5,100). This is the top value of any QB-RB-WR stack on FantasyData's DFS Stacking Tool. Jones has two 20-plus point performances in his last four games and gets a good matchup this week with Cincinnati. Jones is a sneaky rushing threat and is coming off of a win over the Eagles in which he rushed for 64 yards and his first rushing TD of the season. That rushing upside gives Jones a higher floor than other quarterback options. Look for him to continue his strong stretch of play. Gallman has been very consistent in his past four games with 13 or more points in each of those games. He has 10-plus carries in each of those games along with eight combined targets out of the backfield. Cincinnati's run defense is nothing to be feared and Gallman looks like a great value this week. Shepard has a questionable tag this week so that is worth monitoring, but he has also been very consistent recently with four straight games of 10 or more points. He has seen at least six targets in each of those games with a high of 10 against Tampa Bay in Week 8. The Giants aren't the flashiest stack around, but they could produce in this matchup.
Bring back option: Tee Higgins ($4,700). Higgins was coming into his own with fellow rookie Joe Burrow. However, with Burrow out for the season with a knee injury, Higgins is back to square one developing a rapport with his quarterback. Brandon Allen is set to start for the Bengals, so it remains to be seen how the passing game will pan out. But Higgins is cheap and is still probably the most talented Bengals receiver. It's worth a flier to see if he clicks with Allen.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Atlanta Falcons: Derek Carr ($5,700), Nelson Agholor ($4,900), and Darren Waller ($6,000). This is an appealing matchup for the Raiders whose offense has quietly been very good. Carr remains one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the league and he could be in for a big game against a porous Falcons defense. Carr just had a 22.6 point game in a loss to the Chiefs and has five games of 20 or more points this season. He only has two games in which he reached the 300-yard bonus, but this could be a game where he threatens that mark. Agholor has been up and down this season but is the top weapon on the outside for the Raiders and he just had a 20.8 point game against the Chiefs. He should be able to exploit the Falcons' secondary. Waller is clearly the most involved pass-catcher for Las Vegas and he has seven games with double-digit points this season.
Bring back option: Calvin Ridley ($7,100). Ridley came back from injury last week and produced with five catches for 90 yards (14.0 points). Ridley has an extremely high upside as he has shown with two 30-plus point performances this season. He is questionable to play this week, so that is worth tracking. But Julio Jones is looking like he could miss this game, so Ridley could be the unquestioned top receiver if he can go. In a plus-matchup, he is the perfect player to bring back in a Raiders stack.
