Graham Gano News
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) needs surgery for a left-knee injury and is likely out for the rest of the season. The Giants officially placed him on Injured Reserve on Saturday. Veteran Randy Bullock was signed and eventually elevated to the active roster, but he didn't have a single kicking opportunity in the 30-6 Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The G-Men also added Cade York last week, but he was inactive on Sunday. In eight games for the Giants this year before his knee injury, the 36-year-old Gano made 11 of his 17 field-goal attempts and made all eight of his extra-point tries. Bullock and York could continue to compete for the starting kicking job on game days on Sundays, but fantasy managers should avoid the situation entirely.
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) will have surgery on his left knee and will be placed on Injured Reserve. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Giants are signing former Tennessee Titans kicker Randy Bullock to their practice squad, pending a physical, according to sources. Bullock was with the Giants in 2016. New York also worked out veteran kickers Robbie Gould, Mason Crosby and Matthew Wright on Thursday before deciding on Bullock. It's unclear if Gano will be ready to return to action after missing the required four games on IR. Given the low-scoring nature of New York's offense in 2023, Bullock isn't an attractive fantasy streamer in what will be his first game this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice for the second straight day due to a left-knee injury. Gano has played the last two games with the injury, so it's safe to assume he will be active in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders, albeit likely at less than 100 percent. The Giants held tryouts for kickers Robbie Gould, Mason Crosby, Randy Bullock and Matthew Wright, for what it's worth. If the Giants sign one of those kickers, it will be a sign that they don't feel comfortable sending Gano out there this Sunday. New York will be getting quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) back this weekend, but fantasy managers should still be looking to avoid Gano or whoever kicks for them in Week 9 in an offense that has been one of the lowest-scoring units in the league this year.
