Benjamin Watson News
New England Patriots tight ends Matt LaCosse and Benjamin Watson are tough plays for owners this week. Both players are getting an equal opportunity in routes run recently, and given that the Patriots have only had one game with a tight end scoring over eight PPR points this season, the position has become marginalized in the offense. Fantasy owners should consider other options at the position, as the player's low share of the offense damages their DFS value.
New England Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson had his most productive game of the year in Week 11. He caught three of his four targets for 52 yards in the game. He was second on the team in receiving yards, behind only Julian Edelman. Watson could have some sneaky value going forward if he can carve out a more consistent role in the offense. The Patriots have gotten very little production at tight end this year and Watson appears to be the most likely tight end to step up. He's worth a speculative add in deep leagues if you need help at the position.
New England Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson caught four passes for 28 yards in the Patriots 37-20 loss to the Ravens in Week 9. Watson came down with some catches in traffic against his former team but wasn't heavily featured in an offense that got big games from receivers Mohamed Sanu and Julian Edelman. Watson should retain his status as a role player in a versatile offense when the team returns from their bye in Week 11.
