Stephen Hauschka News
The Jacksonville Jaguars released kicker Stephen Hauschka on Monday after he missed both field-goal attempts that he had in Sundays loss to Houston. The team brought in Jon Brown as their new kicker, marking the fifth different kicker that will start for the Jaguars this season. Having been a full-time kicker since 2011 with Seattle and Buffalo, Hauschka has seen his effectiveness slide over the last three years, making just 75.9 percent of his kicks in that span. Brown holds little season-long intrigue at this stage as a late addition to the organization, with fantasy managers cleared to move on from Hauschka moving forward.
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Stephen Hauschka (knee) is questionable for Week 4 against the Bengals with a right knee injury. The Jaguars signed Hauschka just five days ago after the put Josh Lambo on Injured Reserve with a hip injury. The 12-year veteran was with the Bills the last two seasons. With no other kicker on the roster, we'd expect the 35-year-old to suit up this Sunday, but he should be well off the fantasy radar as he looks to make his 2020 debut despite the good matchup against Cincinnati.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing former Seahawks kicker Stephen Hauschka on Monday, according to a source. Hauschka was released by the Bills at the end of training camp when he was beat out by sixth-round rookie Tyler Bass. The 35-year-old latches on with the Jaguars after the team placed Josh Lambo on Injured Reserve last week. He'll battle for the starting gig with rookie Brandon Wright, who missed one of his two extra-point attempts in last Thursday's loss to the Dolphins. Hauschka made 22 of his 28 field-goal tries (78.6 percent) with the Bills last year and is a 85.7 percent kicker in his career. On a Jacksonville team with a very mediocre offense, Hauschka can be ignored for fantasy purposes if he wins the job.
