  • Tyrod Taylor Bounces Back in Week 3

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor put together a strong performance against the Broncos, one of the best defenses in the league, even with continuing calls for him to be benched in favor of rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman. Taylor completed 20 of his 26 pass attempts for 213 yards and two touchdowns. He was uncharacteristically quiet on the ground as he gained only 13 yards, though he also avoided big mistakes with zero turnovers. In what may be an emerging trend, Taylor has now performed well in two games at home this season, completing 66% of his passes and averaging 218 yards and two touchdown passes per game. Those numbers aren't fantastic but they are startable and make Taylor a potential streaming option to consider down the road, especially in positive matchups.

  • Tyrod Taylor In Tough Spot For Week 3

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor will be going up against the toughest passing defense in the NFL as measured by yards per attempt in Week 3, as the Denver Broncos have allowed just 5.2 attempts per throw to this point. Of course, that is over the course of just a two game sample, but it does line up with preseason expectations that their team defense would remain very strong. As for Taylor himself, he has gotten off to a difficult start to the season he has lacked both efficiency and volume to start the 2017 season. Only two quarterbacks, Jared Goff and Joe Flacco, who have played in two full games this season have attempted the same amount or fewer passes than Taylor. Likewise, he is averaging just 6.6 yards per attempt, which is 22nd in the league. He does offer upside as a runner, but the only way he should be considered as a fantasy starter this week is in extremely deep leagues, super-flex leagues, or two-quarterback leagues.

  • Tyrod Taylor To Remain Starter

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that quarterback Tyrod Taylor will remain the starter for the team in Week 3 as they take on the Denver Broncos. Taylor has come under fire for his performance in Week 2 against the Panthers as he threw for just 125 yards in 25 attempts. The impetus for the discussion was fueled even more by a missed opportunity on a potential game winning throw to Zay Jones late in the game. Unless Taylor begins to play better, rumors will continue to swirl around rookie Nathan Peterman taking over as the starting quarterback. It won't be easy for Taylor to improve on his performance this week, as the Bills will face the Broncos' stingy defense in Week 3. That said, it's best not to be relying on Taylor as a starting quarterback both in the short and long term.
