  • Lamar Miller Puts Up Mediocre Numbers In Week 3

Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller didn't do much on Sunday to quell the rumors that his role in the offense was at stake, putting up 56 yards and no scores on 14 carries, plus adding seven yards on one catch. Miller's 4.0 yards-per-carry average isn't bad, but his inability to score and his relative lack of involvement in the passing game limits his upside with the team. Expect D'Onta Foreman to cut into Miller's touches more moving forward.

  • Lamar Miller Unlikely To Be Good Fantasy Option In Week 3

Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller is still the team's starting running back for another week, holding off rookie D'Onta Foreman, but that doesn't mean he's a good fantasy option. Miller will find it tough going against the Patriots. Expect the Texans to be down early and abandon the run. If Miller can get involved in the passing game, he'll have a chance at salvaging a solid game, but he's no more than a FLEX option against New England.

  • Lamar Miller And D'Onta Foreman Split Carries Against Bengals

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said that backup running back D'Onta Foreman would see the ball more against Cincinnati after only receiving one carry in Week 1. That proved true on Thursday, when Foreman saw 12 carries and gained 40 yards. Starting running back Lamar Miller carried the ball 18 times for 61 yards and added 26 receiving yards on three catches. Foreman looked like the better back at points during the game and is likely to continue eating into Miller's playing time, but it might be a little early to trust Foreman in fantasy. Meanwhile, despite putting up solid numbers in Week 2, Miller's fantasy stock should start trending down.
