Michael Floyd News
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Michael Floyd caught three balls for 54 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's preseason game against the Eagles. With a little less than seven minutes to go before the half, rookie quarterback Trace McSorley threw a 28-yard dime to Floyd for the Ravens second touchdown of the game. Floyd is entering his eighth year and fifth team in just three seasons. He is toeing the line for a roster spot against the likes of Seth Roberts, Jaleel Scottand Jaylen Smith. Floyd likely shouldn't be in your fantasy sights this season, but performances in preseason may earn him a spot on the depth chart.
The Baltimore Ravens are signing free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd to an undisclosed deal on Friday, according to a source. Baltimore is a good landing spot for Floyd, but there's still no guarantee that he'll make the final roster out of training camp. The 13th overall pick in 2012 by the Cardinals, Floyd has played for four different teams in the last three years and has 20 catches for 178 yards and one score in the last two seasons (24 games) for the Vikings and Redskins. He'll be a long shot to return any fantasy relevance for a run-first squad if he makes the team.
The Washington Redskins are signing free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd on Monday, according to a source. Washington clearly isn't happy with the production they are getting from Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson, so they are bringing in some competition/depth. They also added former first-rounder Breshad Perriman on Monday. Floyd didn't make final cuts with the Saints and had just 10 catches for 78 yards in 11 games with Minnesota in 2017. He hasn't done much of anything since he was cut by the Cardinals back in 2015.
