Lance Dunbar News
Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar will remain the backup to starter Todd Gurley. It sounds like Malcolm Brown could be sidelined for significant time which means Dunbar will step up in his role. Dunbar is expected to play in pass situations, but Gurley is locked down as an every down back. The Rams will look for ways to get Dunbar involved, but most of his reps will be in blowouts. No need to own him or use Dunbar for fantasy purposes, and he's not expected to do much against a tough Vikings defense.
Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar (knee) is healthy and ready to be activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list, but the Rams can delay the process for a few weeks to preserve their roster depth. Dunbar could provide some depth as a pass-catching back behind stud Todd Gurley, but there remains no real reason to stash Dunbar, even deeper leagues.
Head coach Sean McVay implied to reporters on Sunday that Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar (knee) will probably remain out for quite a while. Dunbar has been sidelined throughout training camp, and per McVay, it "doesn't look like there's a resolution in the near future." Dunbar was brought in to act as a third-down back due to his catch-and-run abilities, but his long injury history appears to have followed him to the West Coast.
