  • Vikings Sign Tavarres King

The Minnesota Vikings signed free-agent wide receiver Tavarres King to an undisclosed deal on Thursday. King was with the Giants since 2015 and also spent time with the Broncos, Panthers, Buccaneers and Jaguars. Eighteen of his 22 career catches since 2014 came with the Giants last season when they dealt with a series of unfortunate injuries to their top wideouts. King is more of a special teams asset and is no lock to make Minnesota's final roster.

  • Tavarres King Placed On Injured Reserve

The New York Giants placed wide receiver Tavarres King (concussion) on Injured Reserve on Saturday. In corresponding moves, offensive linemen Adam Bisnowaty and Nick Becton and tight end Ryan O'Malley were signed to the active roster from the practice squad. King suffered a concussion in Week 15. He played in just eight games this year, recording three starts that included 18 catches for 240 yards and three touchdowns. He was never a fantasy factor.

  • Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, Tavarres King All Out For Week 17

New York Giants wide receivers Sterling Shepard (neck) and Tavarres King (concussion) and tight end Evan Engram (ribs) have all been ruled out for Week 17 against the Redskins. None of the trio were expected to suit up this weekend in a meaningless game. Shepard and Engram were New York's best options in the passing game for most of the year after Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) were lost early in the season. Engram has proved he will be an elite fantasy tight end moving forward, although New York's uncertainty at the quarterback position may pose a problem. In Week 17, Roger Lewis will be the team's No. 1 wideout. You'd be wise to avoid the Giants offense completely.
