  • Chris Thompson Fractures Fibula, Season Over

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (leg) fractured his fibula and will miss the remainder of the 2017 season. It's brutal news as Thompson was enjoying a major breakout through the season's first 10 games. Rookie running back Samaje Perine, who had a breakout 117-yard performance Sunday, will take on a featured role going forward. The only other running back on the roster is Byron Marshall, signed this week. He could mix in on third downs but isn't fantasy-relevant.

  • Chris Thompson Carted Off With Ankle Injury

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (ankle) was carted off in the third quarter with a potentially serious ankle injury. He's almost certainly out for the game. It's a brutal development, as Kirk Cousins (head) was injured on the same play. If Thompson's injury is serious, as it looks, it'll give rookie Samaje Perine even more value as an RB2 down the stretch.

  • Chris Thompson In Prime Bounce-Back Spot At New Orleans

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson has struggled in each of his last two games against tough opponents (@ SEA, vs MIN), failing to clear double digit points in PPR for only the second and third time this season. In Week 11, however, he figures to have an expanded role with Rob Kelley on IR and facing a white-hot Saints team that is likely to keep the Redskins offense in pass-heavy mode. Thompson is a high-floor RB2 in PPR and a borderline must-start flex option even in standard. Redskins/Saints has the second highest over-under on the Week 11 slate at 51 points so you're firing up all of your reasonable options in the contest.
