  • Jarvis Landry Won't Give Dolphins Hometown Discount

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent wide receiver Jarvis Landry's agent, Damarius Bilbo, said his client will not give a hometown discount to the Dolphins in free agency. "It's always going to be here. Take a discount? Absolutely not. This may be Jarvis' first and last time to set himself up and his family up. He needs to strike and strike while the iron is hot," Bilbo said. Landry is hoping to match what the Packers gave receiver Davante Adams -- a deal that pays him $14.5 million per year. Miami could hit Landry with the franchise or transition tag for 2018, too. Landry had career highs in receptions (112) and touchdowns (nine) while racking up 987 yards in 16 games in 2017. He's played in every game in his four seasons and has caught at least 84 passes in all four years while reaching the 1,000-yard mark twice. Landry is a strong WR2 in PPR leagues, and one that could get a boost if he leaves Miami.

  • Jarvis Landry Looking For A Jump In Salary

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry has become a fringe WR1 in fantasy, and the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports the impending free agent is seeking a "contract in the range" of the one Davante Adams signed with the Packers at the end of the season. Adams signed a four-year, $58 million pact with $18 million guaranteed, and his $14.5 million annual average made Adams the league's fourth highest paid wideout. Adams is a prolific touchdown scorer, whereas Landry is coming off a career-best nine scores this past season. He has 22 touchdowns in four seasons and plays strictly out of the slot. Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin and Chargers wideout Keenan Allen are making just north of $11 million per year as the highest paid slot receivers. To this point, Landry has said he has felt a bit "disrespected" by Miami's handling of negotiations.

  • Jarvis Landry Records Ninth TD in Week 17

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry finished strong by adding his ninth touchdown of the season in Week 17. Landry nearly made a huge blunder, as it was initially ruled that he fumbled just shy of the goal line on a short reception. Buffalo's Preston Brown took the fumble back 98 yards for an apparent defensive score. Instead, the call was overturned and Landry was able to score on the ensuing play. After never scoring more than five touchdowns in a season, Landry ends the year tied for fourth among all receivers with nine TDs. He also took over the league lead in receptions with 112 and fell just 13 yards short of a 1,000 yards. Landry proved that regardless of who is at quarterback, he is a high-end WR2 for PPR owners and the model of consistency.
