  • Derek Carr Given No Help in Raiders Blowout Loss to NE Week 11

The Raiders WR corps has been a problem all season, but against New England, Week 11, they could not have looked more inept and outclassed. QB Derek Carr had passes dropped, fumbled, and generally bungled throughout the afternoon, leading him to a 237 yard, one touchdown, one interception outing. His interception bounced off the shoulderpad of WR Johnny Holton, bounced into the air, and was plucked by a Patriot defender, at no fault of Carr. The Raiders are too much of a gamble week-to-week to clearly label their fantasy prospects, but Carr will decidedly be off the radar as the team takes on Denver next week.

  • Derek Carr A High-Ceiling QB1 Week 11 Versus Patriots

Coming out of the bye, the Raiders are in desperate need to get a win streak going, and against a porous New England secondary, Derek Carr has a great chance to get the Raiders offense finally back to 2016 form. Meaning, Carr has had an extra week of preparation for New England, which should have, ideally, given the Raiders a decent amount of time to come to Jesus and right the ship. However, the very low floor the Raiders have shown they are capable of hitting is still very much a threat, particularly against a top-tier team. Carr certainly has risk associated with him, but he has as high as ceiling as any QB Week 11 and should be played as a QB1.

  • Derek Carr Hits 300 Yards in Week 9 Win

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for exactly 300 yards, one touchdown and one interception, with two credited fumbles. While the first fumble was a deep pass stripped from his hand by Dolphins DT Ndomukong Suh, the second was the fault of Jalen Richard, who let a pitch bounce off of his hands before recovering it. The Raiders took a few deep shots throughout the game, most notably on Johnny Holton's 44 yard touchdown, and will get the bye week to cook up more effective plays before facing New England Week 11.
