  • Davante Adams With No Effects From Concussion

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams says there are no lingering effects from his two 2017 concussions. Adams sat out Weeks 16 and 17 after being concussed by Thomas Davis in Week 15, but his agent said he could have appeared in "at least" one of those games. Adams has suffered three concussions since the beginning of the 2016 season, but neither he nor the Packers, who gave Adams a four-year, $58 million extension on Dec. 29, seem concerned.

  • Packers Signing Davante Adams To Extension

The Green Bay Packers are signing wide receiver Davante Adams to a four-year, $58 million extension on Friday, according to a source. He'll be given an $18 million signing bonus, and he'll receive $32 million in the first two years of the new deal. Adams missed three games with injury this year, but when on the field he was the team's best and most consistent wideout, even with quarterback Brett Hundley filling in for Aaron Rodgers (collarbone). Adams will wind up missing the final two games of the season with a concussion, but he finished 2017 with 74 catches for 885 yards and 10 touchdowns. Adams was due to become a free agent after this season. He could continue to be Green Bay's No. 1 wideout into 2018 with Jordy Nelson showing signs of slowing down with one year left on his deal.

  • Davante Adams, Jordy Nelson, Others Sitting Out In Week 17

Green Bay Packers wide receivers Davante Adams (concussion) and Jordy Nelson (shoulder), running back Aaron Jones (knee) and tight end Richard Rodgers (shoulder) have all been ruled out in Week 17 against the Lions. It makes zero sense for the Packers to play any of their injured players with nothing on the line this weekend. Adams was the team's most consistent wide receiver this year, even with quarterback Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) missing extended time. Nelson was the biggest bust with only 53 catches for 482 yards and six touchdowns. He'll turn 33 next year, but he could rebound with a health Aaron Rodgers under center in 2018 in what is the last year of his contract. Jones looked like the team's best running back before suffering his injury, and he'll enter next year as the favorite for lead-back duties. Rodgers never became fantasy relevant and is unlikely to do so moving forward. In Week 17, Randall Cobb will be the top receiver, but he still carries plenty of risk with Brett Hundley throwing the ball. Geronimo Allison and rookie Michael Clark will also be asked to step up. In the backfield, Jamaal Williams will continue to carry the load and can be a decent RB2. Lance Kendricks will be the main pass-catching tight end, but he should be avoided in fantasy.
