  • Cameron Brate Should Be Benched This Week Against Falcons

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate should not be started this week against the Falcons for a few different reasons. First off, he is dealing with a hip injury and was limited at practice on Thursday. It also doesn't help that he saw a season low in snaps last week, along with only having a single catch in five of his last six games. He has seemingly lost the top tight end spot to rookie O.J. Howard, who should continue to be a larger part of the offense moving forward.

  • Cameron Brate On Injury Report Entering Week 15

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate (hip) was limited in practice Thursday. Aside from scoring six touchdowns -- mostly all in the first half of the season -- Brate has been a disappointment for fantasy owners, to say the least. He randomly scored two touchdowns in Week 14, only to catch just one pass for 11 yards last weekend. Brate has only seven receptions over the last six games, which is really all you need to know about whether to utilize him in your starting lineups. He's a low-end TE2 that should be avoided at all costs. Rookie tight end O.J. Howard is seeing more targets in the second half of the season in what has been a disappointing season for the Bucs.

  • Cameron Brate Disappoints After Big Week

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate was nearly invisible in Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions. Last week, Brate had two big touchdowns, which shouldn't come as a surprise, since it was also the return of quarterback Jameis Winston. Coming into this game, Brate was set to be in a great spot since the Lions have the 31st DVOA against tight ends, but he wasn't able to capitalize on it. Brate ended the game with just one catch for 11 yards and no touchdowns. It was a big letdown after he got back on track last week with those touchdowns after going several games without one. It just proves that Brate is a touchdown-dependent TE2 to close out the year with Tampa's offense struggling.
