Greg Robinson News
Cleveland Browns left tackle Greg Robinson was reportedly arrested at a border patrol checkpoint on Monday evening. Robinson was apparently traveling with "a lot" of marijuana and was stopped at the United States/Mexico border, according to the story posted by TMZ Sports. The pending free-agent tackle could be facing federal charges with the intent to distribute the drugs. The Browns were unlikely to bring Robinson back this offseason, with Monday's incident making it even less likely. Robinson is likely facing league discipline and could struggle to find many suitors when free agency opens in March. Robinson was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Cleveland Browns left tackle Greg Robinson (concussion) will be available for his team's Week 14 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Robinson suffered the concussion during Week 12 and did not play in Week 13's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robinson's return to the starting lineup is a big boost for a Cleveland offensive line that struggled to contain the Pittsburgh pass rush last week. The return of Robinson will push Justin McCray back to the bench and upgrades the entire Cleveland offense from a fantasy perspective. McCray was one of the primary culprits in the shaky pass protection displayed last week.
The Cleveland Browns have benched starting left tackle Greg Robinson ahead of their Week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots. Robinson is expected to be replaced in the starting lineup by Justin McCray this weekend, although Freddie Kitchens wouldn't tip his hand when asked. Robinson has drawn criticism from general manager John Dorsey this year, who called his play "inconsistent." Dorsey then went on to state that he would like to "make a million deals" to improve the offensive line ahead of the Tuesday trade deadline. Cleveland has already been linked to Washington holdout Trent Williams and New York Giants left tackle Nate Solder. Look for Cleveland to be very active in the upcoming days in attempts to improve one of the team's biggest weak spots.
