  • Melvin Gordon Posts Another Solid Performance

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon put up about as solid a performance as could be expected on Sunday. Gordon carried the rock 20 times for 80 yards with one touchdown. There was nothing spectacular about the performance, but no fantasy owner is going to complain about such a showing either. Surprisingly, he didn't come down with any catches this week, but he'll usually tack on a couple of those as well. Gordon is not going to win any awards with his mediocre yards per carry, but he's still providing regular TDs for his owners, so he's become dependable in his own way.

  • Melvin Gordon Primed For Big Day

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon was unsurprisingly shut down by the Jags last week, but Week 11 should be a nice bounceback for the man. Gordon will get to face the very generous Buffalo Bills defense on Sunday, and he may be leaned on extra heavily due to a QB injury. The Bills have given up the second most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, and Gordon has already shown a propensity for punishing poor rushing defenses like the Patriots (132 yards) and Giants (105 yards). On top of that, starting quarterback Philip Rivers is questionable for the game, so if backup Kellen Clemens is forced into the starting role, expect Gordon to see even more action than normal. Combined, it makes Gordon one of the most desirable plays of the week.

  • Melvin Gordon Will Struggle In Jacksonville

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has been a solid fantasy contributor in 2017 with his four rushing and four receiving touchdowns, but he's also completely disappeared for a couple weeks. He's only topped 55 rushing yards in four of his eight games, and he's only topped 85 rushing yards twice. The reason that matters so much this week is because Jacksonville's only slight weakness (they're still above average) on defense has been to the run game. They've excelled at flattening quarterbacks and preventing big pass plays, so Gordon will have to carry the water on the ground instead. Unfortunately, he's shown this season that he can expose bad run defenses, but he's struggled against other mediocre run defenses that weren't as good as Jacksonville's. Expect a rough day for Gordon.
