Geoff Swaim News
Arizona Cardinals tight end Geoff Swaim (calf) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the 49ers. He suffered a calf injury, ending his day with one catch for 26 yards. That said, it's unlikely many fantasy managers had him in the lineup, considering Trey McBride is the primary tight end on the depth chart.
Tennessee Titans tight end Geoff Swaim caught all three of his targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the win against the Las Vegas Raiders. After three games, Swaim is out-targeting Austin Hooper, but neither should be on the fantasy radar until further notice. The Titans' passing game looks to be up and down, and since they are a run-first offense, there's not a ton of fantasy appeal for any Titans' pass-catchers not named Robert Woods or Treylon Burks.
The Tennessee Titans agreed to a one-year contract extension with tight end Geoff Swaim on Monday, according to a source. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Swaim had a career-high 31 catches for 210 yards and three touchdowns on 40 targets in 16 regular season games in his second year in Tennessee in 2021. He could be set for an even bigger role in 2022 with both Anthony Firkser and MyCole Pruitt on the free-agent market. In his two seasons with the Titans, Swaim has recorded 40 catches on 52 targets for 293 yards and four touchdowns in 26 total games. Even if he's the Titans top pass-catching tight end this year, he'll have a lower ceiling as a potential TE1.
