Quinton Dunbar News
The Arizona Cardinals signed free-agent defensive back Quinton Dunbar on Tuesday, according to a source. Dunbar was released by the Detroit Lions in training camp, and he also missed 10 games last season with the Seattle Seahawks due to armed-robbery charges and a knee injury. In 11 starts for the Washington Football Team in 2019, Dunbar had 37 tackles (31 solo), a career-high four interceptions and eight passes defensed. The 29-year-old might need to shake off some rust after a long layoff, but when healthy, he will provide Arizona with some valuable experience and depth in the secondary.
The Buffalo Bills worked out free-agent cornerback Quinton Dunbar and safety Damarious Randall on Tuesday. Dunbar signed with the Detroit Lions in the offseason, but he was released during training camp in mid-August. In five games for the Seattle Seahawks in 2020, Dunbar had five passes defensed and an interception in six games. Randall was released by the Seahawks at the beginning of December after he played mostly on special teams in 10 games with Seattle in 2020. The Bills defense pitched a shutout in the Week 2 lopsided victory over the Miami Dolphins, and they'll be a strong starting defensive unit in fantasy once again this weekend when they face the Washington Football Team at home.
Former Seattle Seahawks defensive back Quinton Dunbar signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the Detroit Lions on Monday, according to his agent. Dunbar played in only six games for Seattle last year because of a knee injury that required season-ending surgery. The 28-year-old had one interception and five passes defensed last season. The Lions have been focusing on improving their secondary this offseason, and they also added cornerback Corn Elder last week. Detroit will continue to address the secondary through the draft as well. Dunbar made 25 starts over five seasons with the Washington Football Team after they signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Florida in 2015. Dunbar started his NFL career as a wide receiver and was moved to cornerback as a rookie. He has 10 career interceptions and a sack in six NFL seasons.
