Daniel Brown News
The Kansas City Chiefs acquired tight end Daniel Brown from the New York Jets on Tuesday in exchange for offensive guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, according to sources. The NFL trade deadline came and went on Tuesday without any significant movement across the league. Brown didn't see a single target in seven games for the Jets this year behind Ryan Griffin and Tyler Kroft and played just 13 total offensive snaps on the season. In his new home in Kansas City, he'll be providing depth behind Travis Kelce alongside Blake Bell and rookie Noah Gray. So far in his eight years in the NFL, Brown has 44 receptions on 64 targets for 420 yards and two touchdowns with the Bears, Jets and Ravens.
New York Jets tight end Daniel Brown isn't going anywhere and is back with the organization. The veteran tight end has snagged a practice squad spot to begin the season. Brown has spent each of the last two seasons as a member of the Jets. He has 44 catches, 420 yards and 2 TDs in 74 games over six seasons in the NFL. The 29-year-old is mainly depth and that's exactly what he'll be with the Jets this season. However, the Jets are so shallow in terms of tight end depth that Brown might get a chance to play. Regardless, Brown isn't going to do anything on the field worth rostering in any fantasy formats.
New York Jets tight end Daniel Brown caught three of four targets for 32 yards in a win over the Bills Sunday. This was the most targets and catches Brown had in any game this season playing in place of the injured Chris Herndon (hamstring) and Ryan Griffin (ankle). Brown hasn't shown enough to be regarded as a starting tight end in the NFL and won't carry fantasy value going into the 2020 draft season.
