  • Eagles "Confident" Carson Wentz Will Be Ready for Week 1

The Philadelphia Eagles are "confident" that quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) will be ready to go for Week 1 of the 2018 season. Wentz had surgery on a torn ACL in December but was already moving around on crutches and throwing passes before the Super Bowl. With the Eagles seemingly certain their franchise quarterback will be on the field to start the season, they may look more seriously into trading Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. There are sure to be teams interested if the postseason hero is made available.

  • Carson Wentz Provides Updates on His Recovery

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) provided updates on his recovery from a torn ACL. He reiterated that his goal is to be ready to play at the start of the season. "That is definitely my goal. Timetables and all those things are always such a fluid thing," Wentz said. "Obviously can't come out and make a declaration on anything, but my goal is to be playing in Week 1." Wentz suffered a torn ACL and LCL in Week 14 against the Rams and has been adamant that he won't change his playing style once he gets back on the field. Barring any setbacks, it appears Wentz may actually be under center in Week 1.
