  • Christian McCaffrey Working To Get The Ball

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey will have a new offensive coordinator for his second season and new Panthers offensive coordinator Norv Turner said the team will "keep finding ways" to get McCaffrey the ball. "He had an unbelievable rookie year and did a lot more than a lot of people would be asked to do and handled them all," said Turner, who compared McCaffrey favorably to one of his former players, Darren Sproles. "He's got such talent, you're just going to keep finding ways to get him the ball and try to create more space for him." McCaffrey was so-so as a ball-carrier in year one (3.7 yards per carry), but excelled in the passing game with 80 catches, which ranked third in the league among running backs. Power back Jonathan Stewart will continue to be involved, though McCaffrey should be in for a bigger workload next season.

  • Christian McCaffrey Shines In Loss

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey caught six passes for 101 yards, including a dynamite 56-yard touchdown catch, in the Panthers 31-26 loss to the Saints. McCaffrey also added 16 rushing yards, but the Panthers never were able to move the chains on the ground. McCaffrey's rookie season certainly can be viewed as a success, as he continuously showed improvement and earned the trust of quarterback Cam Newton as the season progressed. McCaffrey will be a top-15 running back choice heading into the fantasy offseason.

  • Christian McCaffrey Hopes To Continue Success Against New Orleans

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey will make his playoff debut this Sunday against the Saints. The rookie has produced in both games against the Saints this year, putting up 101 receiving yards in Week 3 and a touchdown reception in Week 13. The Saints defense allowed the 17th most fantasy points this season to opposing running backs but have been tough to run on recently. They have not allowed a 100-yard rusher since Week 11 and have not allowed more than 54 receiving yards to a single running back, except McCaffrey's 101, all season. McCaffrey is a strong bet to have a very active game this Sunday and will be top-end RB2 to plug and play this weekend.
