  • Alvin Kamara Nearly Plays Hero with Late Touchdown Against Vikings

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara surpassed 100 yards from scrimmage and scored a touchdown in the divisional round of the playoffs. Kamara outrushed Mark Ingram for the second straight game, putting up 43 yards on 11 carries, and also caught four passes for 62 yards. Kamara's score came with just over two minutes left in the game and gave the Saints their first lead of the game. It didn't last long, however, as an exchange of field goals and a dramatic last-second touchdown by Stefon Diggs ended their season. Kamara's slightly increased usage in the playoffs bodes well for his fantasy value next year, where he will likely be a first-round pick in many PPR leagues.

  • Alvin Kamara Must Raise Efficiency in Difficult Matchup with Vikings

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been the most efficient running back in the league, even as a rookie. Kamara finished the 2017 season with a league-leading 6.1 yards-per-carry rushing average and 10.2 yards per reception. He scored 13 total touchdowns on just over 200 touches. It will be tough to match those averages against the league's top rush defense and most efficient third-down defense in Minnesota. Kamara only carried the ball seven times and caught four passes in Week 1, back when the shadow of Adrian Peterson still loomed on the New Orleans sideline (this was the infamous glare game). Kamara has become an integral part of the offense, but expectations should be tempered for this playoff matchup.

  • Alvin Kamara Scores, Does Little Else in First Playoff Appearance

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara managed to salvage a horrible game by scoring on a two-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Saints. The player who led the league in rushing average this season (6.0 yards per carry) was held to just 23 yards on 10 carries. He didn't produce in the passing game, either, catching one pass for 10 yards. He will have another chance next week but faces the second best run-stopping unit in the league in Minnesota.
