Amara Darboh News
The Seattle Seahawks waived wide receiver Amara Darboh on Tuesday and signed two undrafted rookie receivers in Nyqwan Murray and Kahlil Lewis. A third-round pick in 2017, Darboh just never showed anything with Seattle, catching eight passes for 71 scoreless yards in his rookie year and not playing at all in 2018. Darboh really had to underwhelm to be cut from a receiving corps that lost Doug Baldwin to retirement and is facing injuries to David Moore and rookie D.K. Metcalf to open the season. Darboh's release is good news for Keenan Reynolds and Malik Turner.
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has been impressed with wide receiver Amara Darboh at organized team activities. "Darboh looks great. He's back in the fold now, so he goes right back into the competition of it," Carroll said. Darboh, a 2017 third-round pick, didn't play at all last year due to a knee injury. There are more opportunities in the receiving corps in Seattle now that Doug Baldwin is gone, but Darboh will still be fighting for repetitions with rookie D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, David Moore, Jaron Brown and Malik Turner.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Amara Darboh (knee) has reverted back to Seattle's roster after being cut by the Patriots. He failed a physical with New England and will be put on Injured Reserve with Seattle, as his contract was "reinstated." Darboh had just eight catches for 71 yards in his rookie season last year with the Seahawks.
