  • Jordy Nelson Fails to Revitalize Season in Aaron Rodgers' Return

Green Bay wide receiver Jordy Nelson had yet another disappointing day in Week 16, going for 28 yards on three receptions with no touchdowns. Nelson had been one of fantasy's top receivers to start the year, but he completely disappeared following an injury to Aaron Rodgers. There was optimism that his season would get back on track with Rodgers returning for Sunday's matchup against a vulnerable Carolina secondary. However, Nelson failed to get anything going. Nelson looks dramatically slower this year and while he can still get open occasionally using his guile, Green Bay's offense gives him almost no help in creating separation. If Rodgers is sidelined for Week 16, there will be no reason to even consider Nelson. Even if Rodgers does play, Nelson should only be considered in desperate circumstances.

  • Jordy Nelson Ready for Fantasy Comeback

Green Bay wide receiver Jordy Nelson has been completely lost in Green Bay's offense while Brett Hundley has been under center. Nelson started the year producing like a true WR1, but his more recent production has been so low as to not even warrant flex consideration. Nelson has a real chance to turn things around in Week 15 against a vulnerable Carolina defense. Aaron Rodgers will return to action this week as well. Nelson and Rodgers have an almost telepathic connection that should translate into fantasy points. Rodgers may be a bit rusty and it would be nice to see Nelson pull in a few touchdowns before trusting him implicitly again, so Nelson shouldn't be treated as an elite fantasy wide receiver yet. You should view him as a WR2 who should be started by most teams, even those in a potentially critical week of the fantasy playoffs.

  • Jordy Nelson Quiet Again But Hope is Around the Corner

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson was held to four receptions and 33 yards receiving in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. Nelson has been struggling with Brett Hundley under center, so this type of disappointing performance came as no surprise. Things could get better soon for Nelson if quarterback Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) is able to return to the field in Week 15. With Rodgers at quarterback, Nelson was one of fantasy's top wide receivers earlier this year. Although Rodgers will be eligible to return from Injured Reserve in Week 15, he has not yet been medically cleared. Rodgers has looked impressive in practice and there is optimism that he will return to play Carolina in Week 15. If Rodgers is able to return, Nelson immediately becomes a usable player in fantasy again. Until he returns, Nelson should be left on your bench.
