  • Matt Moore Plays Well in Relief Versus Bucs

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore came in for the second half of Week 11's matchup against the Buccaneers and played much better than starter Jay Cutler. After Cutler was ruled out for a possible concussion, Moore stepped in and nearly led the team to a victory. He threw for 282 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Although they ultimately fell short, Cutler's three picks and the spark Moore brought will once again create a controversy for next week. Either way, Moore is not an advisable fantasy play even if he is the starter. He couldn't lead the team to a single point in a 40-0 blowout in his only start of this season, back in Week 8.

  • Matt Moore Blows Chance as Starter in Week 8 Debacle

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore laid to rest any potential controversy about who will be the starting QB going forward. Moore played horribly against the Ravens, completing 25 of 44 passes for 176 yards and two interceptions while failing to lead the team to a single point. The Dolphins didn't seem the least bit motivated by their new leader and it appears he won't have the chance to make another start if Jay Cutler is able to recover as expected. Coach Adam Gase already proclaimed that Cutler would be the starter next week if he is healthy enough and last night's game simply reinforces that decision. Those who took a chance on Moore in two-QB leagues probably won't make that mistake again, even if Moore does wind up playing against Oakland next week.

  • Matt Moore Ready to Lead Dolphins, Worth a Look in Two-QB Leagues

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore has only started three games in the past five and a half seasons, but he's ready to jump in again as the No. 1 quarterback. Moore was forced into action at the end of last season when Ryan Tannehill was injured and now must do so again with Jay Cutler (ribs) sidelined. Moore didn't miss a beat in Week 7, stepping in to throw for 188 yards and two touchdowns in just over a half of game action. He led the team to a comeback victory against the Jets and now faces the Ravens on Thursday night. He's in a tougher spot, having a short week of practice to prepare for his first start and he knows it. "It's tough. Time to prepare is everything, I think, in this league," Moore said. Still, Moore has shown the ability to lead Miami's offense capably and with a ton of teams on bye, could be worth a second QB slot in superflex or two-QB formats.
